Gardiner Park History

Gardiner Park was born in the 70's when the late Dan Gardiner purchased 52 acres of farmland in Eastwood on the outskirts of Louisville, KY.

For the next twenty years, he and his family worked the land, planting hundreds of trees and creating both a lake and a pond on the property.  In the early 90's, he began exploring ways to create a community that would enhance the land without altering its natural setting.  While vacationing in England, he visited the Cotwolds, northwest of London, and became enamored with the beautiful homes nestled close together on gently rolling landscape in quaint old English villages.  In the Cotwolds, Dan Gardiner saw what he had envisioned for his land in Kentucky, and his dream for an elegant, residential community, in a peaceful and enchanted setting was born.

The beauty of the trees and the rolling landscape form the basis of the Gardiner Park vision.  The beauty has persisted, and the Gardiner Park Homeowner's Association is absolutely dedicated to its preservation.

"The land itself has always been beautiful, and has a certain magical beauty to it that can't be described, only felt."
